Our origins

Imagine the sea breeze caressing your face, the murmur of the waves on the Genoese coast. This is the setting in which our story takes root, in a town where the sea is not just a panorama, but the very essence of life. Our founder, lulled from birth by this infinite horizon, forged a visceral bond with the sea - her haven of peace, her source of life, her home.

But a dilemma arose. In her daily work as a dental hygienist, she was recommending plastic products for oral care, unwillingly contributing to an environmental disaster: every year, 14 million tonnes of plastic submerge our oceans. What's even more disturbing is that 90% of this waste comes from disposable products.

The Decisive Moment

​

The year 2020 has prompted us all to introspect. It was during this period of forced pause that our founder looked for a concrete solution to reconcile dental care and respect for the environment.
After months of research and experimentation, the idea of NaTooth emerged: a range of innovative products designed to reduce the environmental impact of dental hygiene and transform it to preserve both the health of our planet and that of our mouths.

A shared vision

By chance - or fate - Cristina met Alberto via the internet. Two different paths, one common vision. Together, they brought their shared ambition to life. In 2022, their project was awarded the IDDEA prize by the Canton of Geneva for its innovation in sustainable dental hygiene, underlining its commitment to a greener future by providing not only valuable support but also institutional recognition.

Now based in the canton of Vaud, NaTooth is pursuing its mission with an unwavering conviction: to offer excellent oral hygiene products, replacing traditional plastics with biosourced and compostable biopolymers. Because we're convinced that taking care of your health doesn't have to come at the expense of our environment.
